Producing my first “script” with dad

Originally from Dallas, Texas, I’m a producer and entertainment concept developer now based in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been involved in a broad spectrum of projects within the advertising, film, and video game industries, ranging from production for publishers and developers, as well as music direction, supervision, and video editing.

I hold a degree in film and television directing and producing from California State University, Los Angeles, as well as graduate coursework from the University of Southern California's School for Cinematic Arts.

I’ve produced over 12 albums for BAFTA award-winning composer Jeremy Soule, including acclaimed scores for the Guild Wars franchise, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dungeon Siege 2, Supreme Commander, Prey, and Gaia Interactive’s Monster Galaxy. After working as an Associate Producer and Audio Director at 3D Realms, I transitioned into concert producing and film where I’ve continued to apply my passion for organizing content, producing talent, and bringing orchestral music and commercial film from popular entertainment properties to the masses.

PROCESS

As a professional in the creative field, I have substantial experience fulfilling diverse roles within the tech, software, and advertising industries. I believe this experience gives me the ability to be strong and concise communicators with a creative team, our partners and colleagues. As a result, I like to ensure a smooth approval process, minimizing taxation on all parties involved. It will include efficient communication and milestone-based approval processes that allow both maximum efficiency and reduced back-and-forth. I’m also able to bridge the gap between tech/advertising and the entertainment world — both of which have uniquely different vocabulary and vernacular. I strongly feel this makes me uniquely qualified over most producers in the field.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

As a fundamental philosophy, quality is one of my highest priorities, both from a production standpoint, as well from the audience’s perspective. All of these elements have to work synergistically to create an authentic, high quality experience. As such, guiding a creative team delivering a high level of craftsmanship is always a primary concern. For instance, in music, when contracting orchestras in the United States, I’m not interested in cutting corners or hiring budget orchestras (which more often than not cheapens and dilutes the final product); I work with AFM musicians to uphold a high standard of quality, the same standards I upheld when producing the first two seasons of The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses (SOTG), and Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions (PSE). I’ve found that good experiences with the best teams directly contribute to the good reputation of a product, and a reputable production reflects well on the brand it represents.

Other interests include travel, my two cats, fitness, nutrition, and photography.
